C'est la fin de la floraison. Quelques pétales demeurent encore sur les grappes, alors que les grains commencent a se former.

05 juin : Floraison / 5th of june : Blossoming
Les chardonnay Premier Cru de nos parcelles de Villers Marmery sont en fleur. La vendange devrait donc avoir lieu dans 100 jours environ.

31 mai : premier rognage / 31st of may : first "rognage"
Le rognage est important, il permet de couper l'apex : c'est le derniers bourgeons de la branche. Il est là pour faire grandir la branche aussi vite que possible pour, dans la nature, aller chercher la lumière au plus vite a la cime dans arbres. Dans notre cas, et dans la mesure ou seuls les premiers bourgeons prortent des fruits, il évite que la seve ne parte trop loin et n'irrigue par les premiers bourgeons. Une fois coupée, la branche ne grandira plus, en revanche, elle pourra grossir et développer sa capacité a transporter la sève pour faire grossir les grappes.
